As we step bravely into a new year, Freedom Tree Design Studio celebrates a decade of expressive, joyful design! Our free-spirited creations allow you to express yourself and be bold in your choices. We combine edgy color design and unique coordination to make everyday living beautiful.
While we turn 10 this year, our legacy began almost 30 years ago with the cult brand ‘Takete Maluma’ - India’s first contemporary home store in Mumbai.
From there, we evolved into India’s first design trend and color consulting studio, and then into our beloved home decor brand, featuring textiles, ceramics and furniture that all bear our signature sense of joie de vivre.
As we look forward to another chapter, we’re also looking back to celebrate all that makes us special. This is the first in a series of blogs that explores our legacy as an original print design studio.

We’re utterly obsessed with creating well-designed products and developing stories through prints. Over the last 10 years, we’ve created over 100 original prints that span over 1000 products! This year, we’re reviving those that have stood the test of time in a special commemorative collection: RESET for a bold and brave new decade. Infused with fresh design energy, these new updates create a plethora of decorating options to turn into a statement, mix and match, and make your own!

We’re also makers at heart, and work closely with different kinds of artisans to breathe new life into traditional crafts. In reviving and refining these ancient art forms, we create bold new interpretations that preserve craftsmanship while making a contemporary statement.
