Frequently Asked Questions about Mirrors

How large should a wall mirror be for a living room?

For a living room, a mirror with a minimum width of 80–90cm creates the best visual impact. A full-length mirror (150cm+) works as a statement piece and significantly extends the perceived size of a room. For a dining room wall, a mirror that matches or slightly exceeds the width of the dining table is a classic proportion.

Can Freedom Tree mirrors be used in bathrooms?

Our decorative wall mirrors are designed for living rooms, bedrooms, entryways and dining rooms. They are not specifically designed for bathroom humidity. For bathroom use, contact our team to confirm whether a specific piece is suitable.

How do I hang a wall mirror without damaging the plaster?

All our mirrors come with hanging hardware. For heavier pieces, fix to a wall stud or use appropriate wall anchors for your wall type. Most mirrors can be hung with two fixings for security. If you are unsure, a professional installer can assess your wall and recommend the best method.

Do you offer custom mirror sizes?

We do not currently offer custom sizing on standard collection mirrors. However, our trade team works with architects and designers on bespoke commissions. Contact us directly if you have a specific size requirement.

How do I style a wall mirror in a small room?

In a small room, a mirror placed opposite a window doubles the natural light and makes the room feel significantly larger. A mirror above a console table with a lamp and a vase creates a classic entryway vignette. Avoid placing mirrors facing each other — this creates an infinite reflection that can feel disorienting.
