New Concept Introduction
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
The world has changed. We’ve changed. Design, I believe, should hold space for that shift. Freedom Tree’s NEST is a quiet promise I made to myself years ago; a promise I’m finally keeping. It is our way of honouring that stillness.

For me, if a design didn’t make me feel a little uncomfortable at first, it probably wasn’t different enough.
Fifteen years ago, when we started Freedom Tree, it was with a desire to break away from the norm; bold colors, spirited patterns, unapologetic optimism, and a design language that dared to be different. Our aesthetic was always fresh, fearless, and forward.
That’s how I knew it was worth putting out into the world. And you embraced it. You, our community of creators, homemakers, and design lovers, found joy in those fearless combinations.
Some of you breezed through collections, intuitively knowing how to bring a space to life. Others navigated the home with curiosity, juggling it all: work, family, friendships, and ambitions. Through all of it, I’ve been inspired by the way you make space for beauty, even as life gets busier and fuller.

As I listened closer to you, to the world, and to myself, I began to sense a shift.
WA few years ago, hearing from people in the Covid years, I began to notice it is the quiet moments that matter most, the calm corners, the unspoken comfort of a space. The silence of those days invited a different kind of listening. I started asking: what if toned down our opus, to be even more impactful? What if beauty could be softer, more meditative?
I started thinking of a new kind of collection. One that didn’t need to dazzle or announce itself. One that was softer, more intentional. One that could simply be. A home that felt like a gentle breath, that could sit quietly beside you in rhythm with your thoughts.
That’s when the notion of NEST was planted.

Freedom Trees NEST is different. It’s not about stepping away from boldness, but about embracing stillness alongside it.
WIt is a more mindful expression of our design philosophy. The colors are calmer, more nuanced. It is quieter. More conscious. The design details are subtle, waiting to be discovered, not demanding attention.
It’s not about styling or perfection, it’s about presence. A soft space to land at the end of a full day. Crafted with beautiful materials, thoughtful textures, and a calm, connected palette, it’s a range that’s meant to feel like home, quietly present, deeply comforting.

NEST feels like a quiet promise I made to myself years ago; a promise I’m finally keeping. It is our way of honoring that stillness.
WOf course, while this idea was brewing, we were still busy. Opening new stores, hosting workshops, launching new lines, including our fiercely feminine clothing and the now signature resort shirts for men. We’ve continued to lead people through the joy of styling their homes, one room at a time, and wrapped countless thoughtful gifts from our vibrant collections. All of it, brought to life by our small but spirited team.
But this quiet undercurrent has always been present. NEST feels like a quiet promise I made to myself years ago; a promise I’m finally keeping. It is our way of honoring that stillness. A counterbalance to the noise of everyday life. A promise to design not just for the eye, but for the soul.

WIt feels right that, in our fifteenth year, we bring it to life. The world has changed. We’ve changed. And design, I believe, should hold space for that shift. NEST is not a departure from what Freedom Tree stands for, it’s an evolution. A deeper listening. A softer step forward. It’s Freedom Tree in a new light, matured, grounded, and tuned into the rhythm of today.
To all of you who’ve journeyed with us, thank you for being on this path with us. For loving the color, the chaos, the celebration, and now, for welcoming this calm.
