New Concept Introduction
Kingdoms Under the Southern Sun

Fabulous Kingdoms of the Southern Peninsula
FIn an age and time when regionalism is being uniquely mined for Identity, we take pride in casting our eyes to the fabulous kingdoms and outposts of Southern India. An inspiration from the cusp of heritage where tradition meets trend, discovering the new in the familiar.
This is our love letter to Southern India.

Temple towns to tech hubs
WOver the years, our Design Team has travelled the lovely temple and textile towns of South India: Madurai, Karur, Pollachi. Heady southern scents, silks, spices, idols, woodwork, dance and music traditions are imbued with a richness of antiquity which is respected.
In the local markets, popular taste is tempted with the most bright, shiny and colorful objects. Making a mark in the modern world, the region has stepped smartly into the future today, being a hub for movie making and a global resource for technology innovation.
With the opening of yet another Bangalore store, our joy in the colors and flavors of the sun-kissed peninsula becomes the framework for this retrospective.

Architecture of antiquity
WOur Southern Suns opus is infused with rich pattern, softened into sophistication by the use of muted color and luxurious materials.
Inspired by the 1000-pillared hall of Madurai Temples, our textile prints create shifting perspectives. The ever-changing depth of viewpoint, over time and space, is deftly captured in this stunning conception of our geometric print Taram. Distance is shown by thick and thin lines which move sinuously, giving an illusion of an altered standpoint, whilst standing still.
We extend the language of geometry into vivid polychroma through the measured weave of madras checks and saree stripes are frozen into multicolored friezes on many home surfaces.

Sacred flora
WSacred palms and temple flowers bloom across fabric surfaces. In a move to make them abstract, the palm shape is placed against black and white steps leading to the temple ponds. Palmyrah holds within it the microcosm of temple statuary in its fanned floral palm shape.groves of trees and sacred flowers.

Mythological Gaurdians
WTemple worship has been a glorious tradition in the Southern India. In Madurai - one of the world’s longest continuously inhabited cities - are covered with figures of deities, animals and monsters in a mythical context. We revive our treasured prints inspired by this zeitgeist - Ahnan and Dance of the Yali feature temple guardians dancing and frolicking amidst groves of trees and sacred flowers.

Royal Textiles and Textures
WSacred, yet sumptuous. In time for the cooler months, we present textiles printed on velvets, heavy weaves from recycled yarns, textured shags and tweeds, and patchwork embroideries. Evoking an almost royal feeling, echoing a quiet and timeless luxury.

A Feast for the Eyes
WAs we mark 15 years as a design brand, we proudly revive from our archives: Kongu, a handpainted ceramic dinnerware collection. Gopurams in vivid polychromy, numinous kadamba trees, and sacred temple tanks illustrate this festive series. Prints and designs originally developed for textiles are transferred by our designers and master artisans on each piece stroke by stroke. Just in time for your year-end gatherings, we invite you to feast and celebrate like the kings of old this season. Be transported to more monumental times, on dinnerware re-invented for the modern home and palette.

Palaces from a bygone era
WOur Phase and Cabana furniture series has recognizably Indian influences. With presence and character, the Phase collection reminds us of credenzas in palace interiors. Bringing dimension to the wood is the contouring on the shutters or legs, which gives a softness to this handsome family. Transcending styles with antique cues, it is still in sync with contemporary Indian style.
The Southern Sun collection adds contemporary cultural relevance to homes.
