Gentle hand or machine wash at 30 degrees. Air dry.
Use a vacuum cleaner on low setting to remove dust and residue.
DO NOT spot clean or wash using any household liquids or detergents unless you have tested them first.
If upholstery is removable, gentle hand-wash with lukewarm water. If upholstery is fixed, you may use a sponge with warm water to gently clean the surfaces. Do not rub. Air dry only.

What is the difference between home fabrics and upholstery fabric?

Home fabrics is a broader category of furnishing fabric that includes lighter-weight fabrics designed for curtains, cushion covers, bed covers and decorative soft furnishings. Upholstery fabric is a home fabric that is heavier and more tightly woven, designed to withstand the friction and pressure of upholstered furniture. Each product page specifies the recommended use.

Can home fabrics be used to make curtains at home?

Yes. Our curtain-weight home fabrics can be sewn into curtains at by your tailor or by ours. We can suggest a lining if you prefer black-out conditions — it improves drape, protects the fabric from UV fading and can improve the finished appearance.

How much fabric do I need for a pair of curtains?

For a standard window (120cm wide), allow for fabric that is 2–2.5 times the track width for good fullness — approximately 240–300cm in width. Add the drop length plus 20–25cm for hems and headings. For patterned fabrics, allow extra for pattern matching — approximately one pattern repeat per length. See our detailed curtain guide or contact us for help with measurements.

Are your home fabrics pre-washed and pre-shrunk?

Our digitally printed fabrics undergo processing to minimise shrinkage, but some natural shrinkage may occur on first washing with screen printed and loose weave solid fabrics. We recommend washing curtains and cushion covers before making them up if you intend to wash them later, or leave an extra measure in the hem in case shrinkage occurs after the first wash. Specific care instructions are listed on each product page.

Do you offer fabric by the half metre?

We sell fabric by the metre, with a minimum order of one metre. If you need a smaller quantity for a specific project, contact our team — we may be able to accommodate smaller cuts depending on current stock.
