Freedom Tree designers took our stunning Bold Sej textile design and worked closely with artisans to see how it could be translated as inlay onto wood. The result is a uniquely stunning artisanal update that extends across surfaces. Set upon solid mango wood, decorative dots dance across the front in a radiating geometric pattern that pops with graphic appeal. For centuries, craftsmen have hand-set bone and shell inlay to decorate surfaces, giving it an instant polished sheen. Come this millennia, we set the inlay onto a monumental sideboard. Each indent is artfully hand filled with a sustainable ecru colored resin. The wood is then polished and the resin is buffed down to give it a final finish. The juxtaposition of smooth resin against the textural wood grain creates a luxurious natural contrast. Freedom Tree presents Unbound: Rooted, Connected, and Free.
